A set of three WW1 medals, awarded to 11602 PTE W. Brown, Yorks L.I. Including 1914-18 Medal, The Great War for Civilisation 1914-1919 and 1914-15 Star, which was awarded in 1920, after his death. Accompanied by a letter from York Record Office explaining this, and a British Army button, converted into a locket bearing portrait, possibly of W. Brown.
