A large Rockingham circular basket with rustic crossed-twig handle, acanthus moulded feet and applied Dresden flowers. With a border of trailing tendrils in gilt framing a central still life painting of flowers probably by Thomas Brentnall. Printed puce griffin mark and Cl 3 in gilt c.1830-42, 21cm wide.
Crack across the top of the handle. Four very short hair cracks to the rim. Some patches of staining.
