A Rockingham armorial dessert plate with shell and gadroon moulding. Having green ground border with gilt cartouches containing flowers and one with a single ivy leaf over a torse. Personalised version of pattern 465, printed red griffin mark c.1828, 24cm wide. Provenance; from a service presented to James Iveson by the Holderness Agricultural Sociaty 1828 cf. No chips, cracks or repair. Crazed, with a small amount of staining and some wear.
